another sister has told me she is ill.
she is beginning to plan her recovery.
so far the news is good.
she is told she can survive the cancer.
i have lost other sisters, sisters who were wise and beautiful and the best of friends
sometimes i wondered if i would lose all my dear friends
a crazy thought, i said to myself
and then carole calls me with the news
